Evidence-Based Management of Diabetic Eye Diseases
Dr. Seenu M. Hariprasad, Shui-Chin Lee Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at The University of Chicago Medicine, discusses the pathophysiology and current management of diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema. He discusses the evolution of several therapies including retina laser photocoagulation, anti-vascular endothelial growth factor agents and corticosteroids. Furthermore, he presents clinical trial data including the DRCR Network Protocol-T study. Dr. Hariprasad concludes with a case presentation and personal acknowledgements.
