Lisa Cannon, MD

Lisa Marie Cannon, MD, specializes in the surgical care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease, colon and rectal cancer, complex anorectal disorders, diverticulitis and other disorders of the colon and rectum. She has a special interest in minimally invasive or laparoscopic techniques and the use of enhanced recovery pathways to reduce post-operative pain and shorten recovery time.

Dr. Cannon is dedicated to compassionate, patient-tailored clinical care, utilizing the most current evidence to allow for the best possible surgical outcomes.

Dr. Cannon develops and optimizes colorectal education for surgical residents and medical students. She also has a strong interest in advancing surgical quality and patient safety with an emphasis on patient handoffs and interdisciplinary team communication.
