Tamara Vokes, MD

Dr. Tamara Vokes specializes in the treatment of health problems related to the endocrine system. She has particular interests in the treatment of osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, and in the management of menopause. Dr. Vokes offers combinations of medical, alternative and behavioral approaches to design an individualized treatment plan for each patient.
An active researcher, Dr. Vokes is studying non-invasive techniques for the assessment of bone structure in patients with osteoporosis, and the genetic and molecular defects underlying bone fragility. Additionally, she is investigating racial and individual differences related to risk for developing glucocorticoid induced osteoporosis.
